- ➤ On Sunday, neighbors in a Mesa subdivision near Ellsworth and Broadway roads reported that heavy rains caused flood waters to damage at least four homes—soaking interiors, submerging yards, and prompting calls to insurance companies as residents await the HOA to clear a clogged culvert. - ➤ Due to heavy rain this weekend, Mesa retention basins are near capacity and some neighborhoods may experience localized flooding—additional rain is forecast. Residents are urged to take precautions and collect free sandbags from local fire stations and service centers. Mesa Now
