- ➤ Residents are invited to celebrate National Historic Preservation Month on Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Post, 26 N. Macdonald. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A fire at a Tesla dealership in Mesa was investigated as possible arson on April 28th after the word —theif— was spray painted on a back wall near Southern Avenue and Sossaman Road; two police cars blocked the entrance at 7:30 a.m. as employees were turned away and the scene remains active. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ Authorities in Mesa indicted Cruzita Leon, 35, for selling fentanyl that led to Todd Gordon’s death after text messages arranged the deal back in November 2024. Leon faces charges including manslaughter and selling lethal fentanyl under the new Arizona law — a class 2 felony — as investigators secured evidence through undercover buys. Mesa Independent
