- ➤ Sean Noble of American Encore filed paperwork on Dec. 20 asking voters to partially repeal Arizona’s 2020 recreational cannabis law; his proposal would allow legal possession and purchase while ending dispensary and advertising rules. It requires 250,000 signatures to reach the ballot (national opponents plan to challenge it). KJZZ
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Mesa's Dink and Dine Pickle Park is hosting the first high school state championships for pickleball on Saturday and Sunday. Local sports leaders + including club coach Riley Palmer expect the event to boost efforts to add the sport under AIA rules. KJZZ
