ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A study by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety showed that Arizona pedestrians were nearly twice as likely to die in road collisions with six deaths per 100,000 compared to 3.2 nationally. Julian Paredes said the higher rate was linked to more driving, faster speeds and longer walking distances in the state. KJZZ

- ➤ Kenaim Al-Shatti is a visual artist who creates moving concert visuals for Drake, Bad Bunny and Alicia Keys. He left construction to study graphic design — and now produces music videos and large public art installations. KJZZ
- ➤ Artist Christopher Rivas, the ASU Gammage artist in residence, will debut his new theater piece 'How To Get Free' at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at ASU Gammage (the work is based on his personal life and Greek myths) and will use his own experiences to guide the performance. KJZZ

- ➤ Advanced students learned electrical trade skills on November 5th at East Valley Institute of Technology in Mesa — instructor Tyler Dama guided their hands-on group work on three-way switch projects in the lab. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ Cesar Becerra, Mesa Community College’s career engagement and student services manager, completed the yearlong Dr. Ted Martinez Jr. National Community College Hispanic Council Leadership Fellows Program—an intensive program with mentoring, two residential seminars, and a pinning ceremony on September 25 in Long Beach—gaining skills for top roles in higher education. - ➤ The seven Colorado River states missed the Nov. 11 deadline to agree on new water rules—Interior postponed its own plan while Gov. Hobbs and legislative leaders accused Upper Basin states of not cutting water supplies.
