- ➤ The Distinguished Flying Cross Society is joining the East Valley Veterans Parade as it rides in a U.S. Army Deuce and a Half truck provided by Dr. Barron Smith from Mesa—its dozen members honor famous aviators with service flags to salute the crowd. East Valley Tribune
- ➤ Bob’s Garage, Mesa’s newest veteran service organization, will join the East Valley Veterans Parade with a Jeep and overlander trailer displaying American, Air Force, POW, and organizational flags (the group was founded in April by veterans Dan “Chappy” Tucker and Robert Meyer to honor their fathers’ military service). It plans to open a vehicle maintenance location where veterans can work on their own cars using loaner tools and receive guidance from an on-duty mechanic. East Valley Tribune
- ➤ Downtown Mesa will host the East Valley Veterans Parade on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, honoring America’s service members with a theme celebrating 250 years of service—featuring vintage aircraft passes, over 105 entries, and around 2,000 participants. The parade will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. along University Drive and Center Street and was revived in 2006 by local veterans determined to continue the tradition. The Mesa Tribune

- ➤ Luna Grill will open its first Mesa location at 9317 E. Ray Road Suite 102 in Eastmark on Nov. 11 as part of a larger Arizona expansion planned for 2026 and beyond. The fast-casual chain will offer special promotions—including a free bowl and Luna hat for the first 100 visitors, free kids meals for rewards members, and deals for military—during opening week. - ➤ Devin Booker recorded 21 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists as the Phoenix Suns beat the Clippers 114-103 Saturday night—he nearly reached his first regular-season triple-double.
