GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Mesa Board of Adjustment voted on Sept.3 to deny a request to build a 20 foot tall detached garage at 2328 N. 64th St.—the proposed garage would exceed the height of the adjacent 16 foot home. The permit application also asked to reduce the required side and rear yard setbacks, which the board did not approve.  Mesa Independent
  • Maricopa County Justice Courts reported 7,310 eviction cases in September—about 250 fewer than in August—and said officials expect 2025 filings to rank as the second-highest in the court system’s 20-year history. The drop follows record-breaking numbers from last year and may signal a lower overall count for the current year.  12 News
