- ➤ Cartel Roasting Co. is inviting customers to invest at least $300 as it seeks funding for expansion instead of pursuing private equity. Co-founder Amy Silberschlag and CEO Jesse Pangburn said the funds will support plans for a new West Hollywood cafe and more growth — a strategy that keeps the company community owned — while offering investors perks. - ➤ Arizona military veterans protested on Monday against planned VA staff cuts and Medicaid reductions that 170 doctors warned would hurt care—Common Defense said the changes could lead to long waits and fewer rural hospital services. 12 News
- ➤ A Maricopa County deputy prosecutor said that expunging past marijuana convictions is challenging because each case must be filed individually—without a statewide database, identifying qualifying records is hard to do. Nearly 23,000 expungement requests had been filed since voters approved recreational marijuana in 2020. KJZZ
- ➤ Gov. Hobbs appointed Virginia 'Ginny' Rountree as the new AHCCCS director—she will lead the state’s Medicaid agency as it faces federal changes in eligibility, work requirements and spending cuts.
