- ➤ EVIT and the Alliance of Battery Equipment Contractors have agreed to offer paid apprenticeships at LG Energy Solution plants coming soon to Queen Creek. Five companies will welcome apprentices in electrical, plumbing, and welding, providing training that strengthens Arizona’s workforce. East Valley Tribune
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Sept. 17, the Mesa City Council and Mesa Public Schools Governing Board met at the Ikeda Stage at the Mesa Arts Center to review plans on economic and workforce development through MPS. Sarah Tolar from the Mesa Education and Workforce Office said that 44% of residents age 25 and older have a degree now and that nurse practitioner jobs are expected to jump nearly 80% by 2033 — adding focus to key industries like health care, biotechnology, and aerospace.
