- ➤ The Tonto National Forest will close Canyon Lake for 16 weeks starting September 16 to let inspectors do safety work that happens every 20 years—SRP will lower the water to 54 feet to allow access and keep water for customers. 12 News

- ➤ Mesa City Council is set to review a Notice of Intent on Monday, September 22 to raise gas, electric, water, and wastewater rates as part of a plan driven by inflation, debt, and the need to rebuild the reserve fund—resulting in residential bills likely rising by $1.43 to $2.27 monthly—while adjustments may ease impacts on commercial users.
