Mesa’s Hydration Donation Campaign (running until Sept.
30) is accepting cases of water and cash donations to meet a goal of 500,000 bottles and $50,000 amid extreme heat. Local businesses and residents have already donated thousands of bottles since May 5.

Revel Surf Park in Mesa will host the Sail Away Soiree yacht rock party Friday, Sept.
18 from 7 to 10 p.m. at 4503 S. Power Road, offering beach activities like surfing, pickleball, volleyball and boogie boarding with upbeat remixes and nostalgic tunes.
Fourteen Valley residents recalled vivid memories of the Sept.
11 terror attacks, sharing how the events impacted them despite not being in New York City, Washington, or rural Pennsylvania. Their remembrances honor a moment that reshaped lives in America.
