- ➤ Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes is preparing to sue State School Superintendent Tom Horne for not changing his review of spending from the Empowerment Scholarship Account program. Mayes said that $124 million in voucher purchases—including items like diamond rings and electronics—was approved automatically and Horne must respond today. 12 News
- ➤ Today, Council is expected to approve final agreements with Culdesac to redevelop a long-neglected city parcel in downtown Mesa with plans for 1,000 residential units and 50,000 sq ft of retail. The project will be built in three phases with Phase 1 requiring 140 for-sale townhomes and off-street parking spaces—construction to begin within 24 months—while also including key public improvements.
