ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A single-vehicle collision Saturday morning near Pueblo Avenue and Val Vista Drive in Mesa killed one person and left another with life-threatening injuries—bricks from the crash damaged nearby homes and northbound Val Vista was shut down, police said. Mesa Independent
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Michael Owen Foster pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a May 2021 incident at a Mesa home where he fatally shot his pregnant girlfriend with twins while children were inside—he was sentenced to 19 years in prison. Mesa Independent
- ➤ On August 27 at 8 p.m., Mesa Police said 16-year-old David Ball went missing near Brown and Gilbert roads while wearing a black sweatshirt, black jogger pants, Nike shoes, and a black cross-body bag—if anyone sees him, they should call Mesa Police at 480-644-2211. Mesa Independent
