  • Mesa’s Office of Economic Development released its FY 2024-25 report showing 3,370 jobs were created at an average salary above $65,000 plus 47 company projects that involved over five million square feet of relocation and expansion. City officials said the report demonstrates a strong focus on attracting high-wage employers and building a resilient local economy.  Mesa Independent

  • Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Dewain Fox ruled on Aug. 13 that Arizona lawmakers did not adequately fund public schools—Mesa Public Schools now face a gap in resources for equipment and repair—Superintendent Matthew Strom said the decision makes sense.  Mesa Independent
  • Mesa resident Ingrid Mosquera came from Columbia on a full-ride volleyball scholarship and now works as a Spanish/English teacher and student mentor—she also collaborates with The First One Consulting to empower first-generation women as they prepare for and pursue college.  Mesa Independent
