🏛️ Government
Governor Hobbs asked Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem for nearly $760 million to reimburse Arizona for border security costs since 2021—she requested that funds be used from a $12 billion appropriation set aside for state border expenses.
The governor said the state is committed to fighting drug problems and human trafficking while strengthening border security.
🏥 Health
A survey by the Arizona Health Care Association found that 81% of long-term care facilities had open direct‐care positions because many could not find enough qualified staff and offer competitive wages.
