- ➤ USDA ended its five-year commitment to help small- and mid-sized food and farm operations, leaving Arizona producers with $1.5 million (of the $4.1 million allocated) and missing out on millions in potential grants. Valley farmer Rodney Machokoto of Machokoto Family Farms said he planned to apply for a grant to enhance school partnerships but must now adjust his approach. KJZZ
