- ➤ Prime IV Hydration & Wellness in Red Mountain is a drop-off location for Mesa's 19th annual hydration donation campaign that will collect 500,000 bottles of water and $40,000 to support vulnerable residents in the Valley. Donations can be dropped off at 2025 N. Power Road Suite No. 106 through Sept. 30. Mesa Independent
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Hadrian announced it will invest $200 million to build a manufacturing and software hub in Mesa. The new 270,000-square-foot facility — known as Factory 3 — is set to open in early 2026 and will create 350 high-wage jobs. Mesa Now

- ➤ Mesa police are seeking help to locate 14-year-old Annaliya Jade Miller and 15-year-old Annelise Sky Alexander, who were last seen walking near Power and Southern roads on July 16—Miller was seen at 2 p.m. and Alexander at 3 p.m. and they are believed to have run away together, so anyone with information should call Mesa police at 480-644-2211. - ➤ Mesa police are asking for help finding 15-year-old Kamryn Hall—last seen about 6 a.m. July 16 near Horne and Brown roads—with White features including brown hair and eyes, a height of 5 feet 8 inches, and a weight of 125 pounds so anyone with information should call 480-644-2211. - ➤ The Mesa Police Department said that 16-year-old Belen Naranjo Sanchez, missing since February, was found by Las Vegas Metro PD after she was last seen Feb. 10 leaving her home near Signal Butte and Warner roads and is safe. Mesa Independent
- ➤ The Mesa Police Department is seeking help to locate 16-year-old Jessica Cox who went missing after leaving her home at 2:16 p.m. July 14 in the McKellips and Gilbert area; she wore a black and white crop top and white pants and is described as African American, 5 feet 2 inches tall (170 pounds) with brown hair and eyes, and anyone with information should call Mesa Police at 480-644-2211. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Since August 2024, SRP has recycled over 500 tons of old utility poles that are chemically treated to stay free from rot and mold and now they are being used as fence posts and road berms in New Mexico through a partnership with Blackwood Solutions — the dry climate helps keep the poles durable. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On July 8, Mesa City Council reviewed updates on several projects, including improvements to Gateway Library—many of which were funded by past general funds from 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024. Council members set plans to continue enhancing these projects to serve the community. Mesa Independent
- ➤ The Arizona Court of Appeals said that state Superintendent Tom Horne does not have the power to sue over dual language programs in some school districts—he said his claim that the programs break Proposition 203 is not allowed—and he will ask the state Supreme Court to review the decision. KJZZ
