- ➤ Mesa Public Schools approved a $520-million operations budget and a $59-million capital budget while facing a $4M loss from frozen federal grants—administrators noted a future $21M Title 1 pause may further impact staff funding. The district will meet with the Arizona Department of Education on July 15 to plan for these fiscal challenges and discuss a one-time adjacent ways levy to raise $5M for infrastructure projects.
