- ➤ A federal judge approved a class action lawsuit for Arizonans injured in vehicle accidents who claimed Allstate did not pay full benefits — and the insurer may still appeal the certification. Plaintiff attorney John DeStefano said the claim was that payouts should equal the coverage limit multiplied by the number of vehicles — a change that could help those underpaid. KJZZ

- ➤ The Mesa City Council approved on June 16 a three-year contract for electric utility construction, maintenance and emergency response services for the city’s Energy Resources Department—designed to ensure reliable service in Mesa. Mesa Independent
- ➤ ADOT maintains over 60 pump stations across the Valley that remove water during heavy monsoon rains — each pump can clear more than 12,000 gallons per minute to keep freeways safe. Staff technicians are on call 24-hours a day to update and maintain the pumps and prevent flood-related closures. 12 News
