- ➤ On Wednesday morning, a concrete truck lost control on US 60 near Val Vista Road in Mesa and struck crew member Jordan Curtis of Desert Veterans—he suffered multiple broken bones and lacerations and was taken to a local trauma center. 12 News

- ➤ Mariscos Mi Lindo Guaymas Mesa is seeking a series 12 restaurant liquor license (which covers its lunch and dinner service) and Mesa City Council will review the request at its 5:45 p.m. meeting Monday, June 16. Mesa Independent
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Authorities are investigating a shooting near 72nd Street and Broadway Road that involved Mesa police officers—no officers were injured and suspects have been taken into custody while details remain unclear. ABC15 Arizona
- ➤ Mesa police arrested Christopher Watkins, 33, on suspicion of first-degree murder & child abuse after a three-year-old boy died while in his care near Roosevelt and Broadway in 2024 & his next court appearance will be on June 16. The Arizona Republic
