  • Mesa Fire Department freed a young coyote pup trapped under an in-ground trampoline on Wednesday — the pup is now cared for at Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center and appears healthy.  12 News
  • Local Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter No. 2560 will host a Christmas in July online auction from July 1 until 6 p.m. on July 31 to help raise funds so 200 more veteran wreaths can be placed at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Mountain View Cemetery for Wreaths Across America Remembrance Day on Dec. 13—bidders may bid as many times as they wish.  Mesa Independent
