CULTURE NEWS

  • The LEGO Brick Convention is happening today and tomorrow at the Mesa Convention Center, where local LEGO artists display giant brick cities and intricate robots to inspire STEM learning and raise funds for children through Creations for Charity. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Agritopia opened its new indoor-outdoor classroom at its 11-acre farm near Mesa, giving children in the Farm Hands program a chance to learn urban agriculture firsthand. The space supports hands-on lessons in growing food for school groups and local community members.  The Mesa Tribune
  • Great Hearts Academies broke ground in Apache Junction's Blossom Rock community for its first tuition-free K–5 campus outside Maricopa County — built on land donated by Brookfield Residential — which will open in fall 2027 and serve as a community hub, already drawing interest from over 550 families.  12 News
  • East Valley Institute of Technology is paying $2M to cover transportation for students as school districts will cut services next school year amid a legal dispute over funds. The school will pause main campus renovations to allocate funds + keep the transportation program running.  KJZZ
