- ➤ Randy and Chad Miller pleaded guilty on May 28 in a New York courtroom to securities fraud and aggravated identity theft for forging documents to sell Legacy Park—a youth sports project in east Mesa that went bankrupt and was renamed Arizona Athletic Grounds; they face sentencing on August 26 and must pay more than $12 million in fines. - ➤ Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is investigating the homicides of two teens — 18-year-old Pandora Kjolsrud and a 17-year-old — who were found dead on May 27 after deputies responded to a call off State Route 87 between Mesa and Payson. 12 News

- ➤ Maricopa County officials said 9,734 people were without homes on January 28, showing a 3% rise from last year's count.
