  • SRP has committed $1.3 million to help community organizations support cooling centers, HVAC repairs, tree planting, and unsheltered outreach — boosting heat relief services for vulnerable residents in central Arizona.  12 News
  • Arizona Child Crisis is offering free pool fences to Metro homeowners with children under 6+ to boost pool safety as summer begins and school is out.  KJZZ

ECONOMY NEWS

  • State gaming officials plan to start a two-week application period at the end of June, offering at least two sportsbook licenses that cost about $1M (part of a 20-license pool established under the Ducey administration).  KJZZ
  • A local energy expert found that between 2022 and 2025, homeowners paid nearly 15 times more for each new unit than commercial users on APS’s grid; APS said the figure reflects a narrow view of complex billing as the state commission reviews a rate hike (growth pays for growth).  12 News
