- ➤ City of Mesa seeks volunteers for its Independence Day festival on Saturday, July 4 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Convention Center campus (263 N. - ➤ Arizona farmers sold about $1.8 billion worth of cattle in 2025, up $300 million from 2024 (driven by high beef prices and the smallest cattle numbers in 75 years), while the American Farm Bureau projects rising demand will produce heavier cattle and fattier beef. KJZZ
- ➤ Arizona's water director said if Lake Mead drops another 20 feet by fall, 12 of Hoover Dam's 17 turbines will likely shut down, cutting hydropower 80% and raising power bills for residents—who receive 20% of the dam's energy. Utilities must then buy extra power from the grid. 12 News
