- ➤ Scottsdale police arrested seven suspects accused of working with a South American theft group linked to burglaries in the Valley and beyond after tracking them from a short-term rental near Miller and Camelback roads to residences in Mesa and Tempe—recovered evidence included stolen property and a stolen French Bulldog. - ➤ Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sam Myers ruled that grand jurors in the indictment against Queen Creek Sen. Jake Hoffman and 10 alleged fake electors did not receive the full text of the Electoral Count Act—Attorney General Kris Mayes plans to appeal the ruling and will present the case to a new 16-member grand jury that may drop charges, potentially delaying the trial scheduled on Jan. 5.
