  • Jesse Ruiz, a former Mesa High School teacher, had his teaching license suspended for two years after an investigation found he dressed as the devil, said 'hail Satan' to students, and wrote inappropriate messages in yearbooks. The State Board of Education accepted a settlement agreement that requires him to complete a prevention and professional boundaries course.  12 News

  • Dr. Steven Tocci of HonorHealth Orthopedics in Mesa explained that ankle arthritis is common and causes pain and stiffness that make walking hard—patients can try treatments like anti-inflammatories, cortisone injections, and bracing before considering surgery.
