- ➤ Mesa hosted the grand opening of Neon Garden on May 15 to display restored neon signs from downtown, including a 30-foot Watson’s Flowers sign—lost in a 2014 windstorm—and a 60-foot replica of the Diving Lady sign from the Starlite Motel. The exhibit shows signs from the 1940s to the 1970s and is located next to the community space that once served as the city’s first post office. KJZZ

- ➤ Mesa will continue its photo traffic enforcement and add cameras in two new school zones at Highland Junior High and Eastmark High—officials approved the $1.8 million contract to replace old equipment and boost intersection safety.
