- ➤ A 35-year-old Mesa man accused of setting a Tesla Cybertruck on fire and causing explosions at a service center on Southern Avenue and Sossaman Road was held in custody by a federal judge on Thursday because his alleged actions posed a risk, with his trial on five federal arson charges set for July 1 (he reportedly used fire starter logs). 12 News
- ➤ William Owen Hines, 19, pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the deadly attack on Preston Lord at a Halloween party in Queen Creek and will be sentenced today at 1:00 p.m. in Maricopa County Superior Court with a possible term of 10.5 to 21 years—he apologized to Lord's family. 12 News
