CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Lori Vallow Daybell was convicted of conspiring to kill her former husband in Gilbert and now faces another murder conspiracy case where she will represent herself. Her second trial will begin with jury selection at the end of May and testimony is expected to start early June — Arizona taxpayers have already spent over $85,000 on costs. 12 News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ City of Mesa announced the winning projects for Round 2 of the Mesa Youth Climate Action Fund at an Earth Day event — groups of youth aged 15 to 24 presented climate solutions that benefit the community. Additional funding of $1,000 to $5,000 is available on a first-come, first-served basis until May 23, supported by a $100,000 grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies. Mesa Now
