  • SkyPlus Hotel Corp. recently celebrated groundbreaking for a dual-branded hotel (Wingate by Wyndham and Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham) at 6639 S. ECONOMY NEWS

  • A report by the Urban Institute (tracking state trends) shows Arizona’s median household income jumped over 60% from about $48,000 in 1970 to more than $77,000 in 2023, driven by tech advances and more education. The state moved from near the bottom to a mid-range rank among U.S. states.  KJZZ

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Water experts warn that low snowpack from a record-warm March may cut Colorado River runoff to a fifth of normal from April to July, risking Arizona's water supply and hydro-generation at Lake Mead. Officials are close to finalizing a short-term plan to shift water from upstream reservoirs while talks continue.  12 News
