- ➤ The 21st annual Pat's Run was held on Saturday to honor Pat Tillman, the former Sun Devil and Cardinal who gave up his NFL career for Army service and died by friendly fire on April 22nd. The race attracted thousands—raising funds for the Tillman Scholars program. 12 News

- ➤ On April 8, Mesa Public Schools held a meeting where community members, students, teachers and parents criticized a proposed Gender Dysphoria Policy that would force parental notification for name or pronoun changes and restrict access to facilities, and the board sent the proposal to outside counsel for review—officials say they will consider changes after the review.
