- ➤ SEA LIFE Arizona is inviting the community to suggest a name for its new Blacktip Reef Shark pup, which is over 1 foot long and the first of its kind at the aquarium. Submissions will be accepted until March 15 on SEA LIFE Arizona's Facebook page. 12 News
- ➤ The Grand Canyon State Model Railroaders model train club will arrive at the Red Mountain Branch of Mesa Public Library, 635 N. Power Road, on Tuesday, March 17. The display spans over 750 sqft (featuring HO-scale trains, passing tracks, dioramas and bridges) with club members available to answer questions. Mesa Independent

- ➤ Downtown Mesa is drawing new residents as more than 1,500 new homes, improved transit and walkable streets boost the city’s core. City officials said a car-free community project will soon begin construction to expand housing and retail options. ABC15 Arizona
- ➤ The Mesa Design Review Board approved preliminary designs and landscaping for a four-story, 124-room hotel covering 56,360 sqft on 3.4 acres on March 10.
