  • The first SkyFire Environmental Film Festival will launch this month in Mesa, Phoenix, and Tempe, showing 100 films on climate action and sustainability. The three-day event runs from Friday, Mar. 27 to Sunday, Mar. 29 (tickets are available online) and will engage local audiences.  Mesa Independent

  • ASU management professor Don Lange and his colleague (from the University of Passau) are analyzing how AI systems can make business knowledge fade if companies do not keep the models updated, warning that outdated systems may lead to organizational forgetting.  KJZZ
  • Today, Higley High School’s DECA program (a student organization) hosted a keynote featuring CEO Edward Beltran on the Winning Mindset as a hands-on marketing event to raise funds for upcoming competitions and engage local professionals.  East Valley Tribune

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • State Senate officials approved a bill to lift the 55-bed cap at the Arizona State Hospital for Maricopa County to boost psychiatric treatment capacity & allow transfers from crowded facilities. The bill will face a House committee next week while extra funding is needed to hire required staff.  KJZZ

SPORTS NEWS

  • During spring training on Tuesday, the Diamondbacks acknowledged that facing the two-time defending champion Dodgers is a major challenge. The team will play 13 NL West games and owner Ken Kendrick said their strong roster is built to compete — manager Torey Lovullo stressed the need for better preparation.  12 News
