Good morning, Mesa.

A six-second TikTok clip of Mesa couple (Ray and Jan Zabel) trying a laughing trend went viral with 1.7M views by March 5.

Discovery Point Retirement Community (6210 E. Arbor Ave) celebrated the video on Feb. 19 with a red carpet, confetti and a toast.

City Council paused plans to move Mesa’s Off the Streets Program from Windemere to the city-owned Sunaire for the summer, as members weigh alternatives like selling or leasing the hotel to nonprofits (to avoid using city funds for operations).
