- ➤ A new report shows Arizona became the third largest battery storage market in 2025 after a 129% surge to 19 GWh, powering nearly 2 million homes yearly. Utilities led most of the gain while residential growth also added capacity. KJZZ
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Amar'e Stoudemire's foundation is launching a seven-week financial literacy program for high schoolers that teaches budgeting, banking basics, investing, and entrepreneurship both virtually and in person, with registration ending in March. The program gives students a personalized financial plan and builds legacy — preparing them for real life. 12 News
- ➤ Arizona Education Association members are opposing a ballot referral that would bar school districts from using public money for union meetings+ the measure passed the House and now heads to Senate committee, which could restrict educators from discussing workplace issues in their own schools. - ➤ Mesa residents can shape their community by attending an open house for advisory board and committee openings on Tuesday, March 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Post, 26 N. Macdonald + applicants must be at least 18 years old and ready to serve a three-year term. Mesa Now

- ➤ In Arizona, assisted living costs about $4,800 a month and memory care about $5,400 as long-term care expenses rise nationwide. The 60+ population is projected to grow 25% by 2030 and cost pressures from utilities+ food+ staffing add to the burden. KJZZ
- ➤ The FDA is recalling some Great Value cottage cheese sold at Walmart after pasteurization problems were found and products distributed in states including Arizona have Best By dates in early April — consumers should return or discard any affected tubs for a full refund. 12 News
