  • Mesa Arts Center Foundation will host a gala on Feb. 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Mesa Arts Center where Priscilla Presley will share her stories of her years with Elvis and answer audience questions—funds raised will support arts engagement.  Mesa Independent

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices in the Valley have risen 11 cents over the past week to an average of $3.41 a gallon, up from $3.30 and above the national average of $2.92. AAA Mountain West Group (Julian Paredes) said pump prices are expected to climb soon as gasoline production shifts for spring.  Mesa Independent

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Maricopa Community Colleges offer Mesa high school students early college programs such as ACE, HOL and Summer Bridge to earn transferable credits before graduation. Students may take Saturday and summer classes, with Summer Bridge applications due April 3 and courses from June 1 to July 25 (fully online).  The Mesa Tribune
