  • 6 Guitars, created by guitarist and storyteller Chase Padgett, will showcase six musical characters blending blues, jazz, rock, classical, folk and country at 7 p.m. on March 4 at the Virginia G. Piper Repertory Theater in Mesa Arts Center (1 E. Main St.).  Mesa Independent

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A water main break occurred at the intersection of N. Val Vista Dr. and E. McDowell Rd. on Feb. 10 at 11:24 a.m. Repair crews adjusted traffic (southbound turning west and northbound turning east) while one lane remained open and drivers are advised to avoid the area until repairs finish.  Mesa Now
  • Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced a nearly $12 million settlement with Choice Home Warranty to refund customers who bought a warranty by phone from Jan. 1, 2013, to Jan. 1, 2023; the claims process will begin in coming weeks and the company must change its sales practices.  12 News

  • Diamondbacks ace Corbin Burnes, who underwent Tommy John surgery last year, expects to return around the All-Star break as he works to speed up recovery. The team also signed veteran first baseman Carlos Santana to a one-year deal on Tuesday to boost its defensive lineup.  12 News
