- ➤ At a Jan. 26 meeting, Mesa City Council voted unanimously to recommend that the Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control grant Chasing Dragons LLC a series 12 restaurant license for Udon Shin (serving lunch and dinner), with agent Huong Tram Le Truong handling the application. - ➤ Leaders of the Central Arizona Project warned that federal draft plans may soon reduce the Colorado River water supply for central Arizona. CAP GM Brenda Burman said the proposal unfairly burdens Arizona & urged states to share the cuts as negotiations continue. KJZZ

- ➤ State health officials confirmed 24 measles cases statewide in January and warned that anyone visiting the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa on Jan. 23 and 24 may have been exposed. They advise anyone potentially exposed to seek vaccination within 72 hours (three days) to help prevent infection. KJZZ
