- ➤ City officials approved Aldi's development of a single-story grocery store on 3 acres at the southeast corner of Power and Elliot roads in Mesa, and the project now awaits inspections with no construction start date set. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ Gifthealth celebrated the grand opening of its state-of-the-art pharmacy in southeast Mesa on Jan. 8 at 3:11 p.m. The 43,000 sqft facility is set to add up to 200 skilled jobs and features robotics-assisted processing that can fill 28,000 medications per day & improve patient care nationwide. - ➤ A poll released by the Arizona Education Association shows 67% of 800 voters support reform to strengthen oversight of the school voucher program and 86% back tighter fingerprint checks for private school staff. - ➤ SRP senior hydrologist Stephen Flora said that a wet fall boosted water flow in Arizona, yet low snowpack & a mild La Niña suggest winter supplies remain uncertain. KJZZ
