- ➤ Mesa High School administrators Kirk Thomas and David Klecka were placed on paid leave after officials determined that they did not report a February 12 incident — Mesa Police submitted charges over winter break and the investigation continues. ABC15 Arizona

- ➤ NOAA renewed Mesa's StormReady Community certification for an extra four years on Monday, Jan. 5 (valid through 2030), confirming the city's commitment to planning, communication and coordination to protect residents during severe weather. Mesa Now
- ➤ The Mesa Board of Adjustment will consider a special use permit on Wednesday for the Legacy Recovery Center LLC transitional community residence at 2338 E. Minton St. The review meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. (lower council chambers, 57 E. First St.). Mesa Independent
