About this event
Next Up: Ishmael by Daniel Quinn
What if everything we believe about civilization, progress, and humanity’s place in the world is worth questioning?
In Ishmael, Daniel Quinn challenges us to rethink the story humanity tells itself about how we live, why our society works the way it does, and what it means for our future on this planet.
For our next book club discussion, we’ll explore the book’s big ideas, challenge our assumptions, and share different perspectives on what Quinn has to say about humanity, culture, and the world we’ve created.
No expertise required—just curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to think deeply together. Whether you loved the book, disagreed with it, or aren’t quite sure what to make of it, you’re welcome!
Come ready for a thoughtful conversation and some interesting questions. I can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks!
Listed by Meetup: Gilbert, AZ, gathered by the Mesa events calendar.
