About this event

Get to know the plant life of the Sonoran Desert on this guided hike with Arizona State Park Volunteer, Valerie. You'll spend an hour exploring the trails and learning about local cacti, trees, and shrubs, seeing how they've adapted to grow in and support this ecosystem. Expect some small hills and loose gravel with no shade or places to sit. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water. All ages are welcome, but please be prepared to carry little ones, as the trails can't accommodate strollers. Pets are welcome on a leash. Meet at the Palo Verde Day Use Ramada. The program is free with paid park entry. Hike will be limited to the first 12 participants on a first come, first serve basis.
